REFRESHER TRAINING | Eight (8) hours of refresher training must be completed every 2 years |
RECIPROCITY | There are numerous reciprocity agreements with EPA and other states with authorized lead-based paint programs. Your state may accept training for certification programs from those training providers accredited by EPA or other state authorized programs. Because reciprocity agreements are subject to change, it is strongly recommended that you contact your state's accrediting body before taking training from an outside source. |

NOTES | -For the total of 40 hours needed for initial training, individuals may take an 8-hour lead-safe renovation course, plus an 8-hour lead abatement worker course, plus a 16-hour lead abatement supervision course, plus an 8-hour project designer course -Designs complex lead hazard reduction projects, develops occupant protection plans, and writes lead hazard reduction reports. |
